why we exist?
We exist to equip ALL people to grow fully in Christ!
our mission
KNOW GOD
Weekend Services
God wants to know us personally. More than just practicing religion, He wants a relationship with us. Our weekend services are where we focus on that relationship. Whether you’re new to faith, have questions, or have been a Christ follower for a long time, our services are a safe place to learn more about what it means to know God and grow closer to Him.
FIND FREEDOM
Small Groups
One of the ways God designed for us to live in freedom is to have people in our life to help us in the journey. Connecting with others in Impact Small Groups is a practical and enjoyable way to find that kind of life-changing community.
DISCOVER PURPOSE
Growth Track
We’re all an important part of God’s plan, and our life will never make sense until we discover our purpose. The Impact Growth Track is designed to help us take steps in the important process of discovering our purpose, and there are opportunities to attend each week at Impact Church.
MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Dream Team
This is God’s ultimate plan for our life--to make a difference in the lives of others. When we do, the Bible tells us we will experience joy. Through the Impact Dream Team, we hope to connect every person to an opportunity to live out their calling by using their gifts and talents to serve others in the church and the community.
OUR PASTORS
NATE & KAREN PERKINS
Senior Pastors
our story
Impact Norfolk (formerly known as Faith Christian Center) was founded by Bishop George and Pastor April Davis (www.weareimpact.com). Pastors Nate and Karen Perkins were installed as the Senior Pastors on the opening day service, Aug 13, 2006. Our pastors dreamed of planting a church to teach people the Word of God in a way that is easily understood and applied. Our vision statement was to train and develop Christians’ spirits, souls, and bodies that it is T.I.M.E to run with the vision. That is, to TOUCH the Hampton Roads Area with the love of Jesus, to IMPACT the Hampton Roads Area with the Word of God, to MEET the needs of the entire family, to EQUIP believers to understand the purpose of prayer, praise and worship in their relationship with Christ and to experience victory in every area of life.
Our launch team consisted of 17 people who moved from Jacksonville, Florida with a desire to see lives changed. The first service had more than 150 of our family and friends, as well as several people from the area, in attendance to celebrate this new ministry. We began by renting space from the Norview Presbyterian Church (NPC).
Impact Church purchased our current on May 20, 2008. Impact grew to over 75 people in weekly attendance and obtained fiscal independence within the first year. We became an independent church from our founding church in early 2012. Today, the Impact vision is simple and the mission is clear: for people to know God, to find freedom, to discover their purpose and to make a difference. We invite you to see for yourself how exciting church can be when the focus is simple and people are free to seek God with passion!

what we believe
We believe the Bible is the unerring written word of God.
II Timothy 3:16
We believe in one God in three persons – the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
I John 5:7; Matthew 28:19
We believe all have sinned and come short of the expectations of God and are in need of saving from sin, which has been provided for everyone through Jesus Christ.
Romans 3:23-26; I Corinthians 6:11
We believe that being filled with the Holy Spirit is an experience following Salvation and it is the plan of God that all be saved and filled with the Holy Spirit.
Acts 8:14:17; Acts 19:4-6
We believe healing is provided in the finished work of Christ on the cross and is available to every believer.
James 5:14-16; I Peter 2:24
We believe the church consists of all those who have received Jesus Christ as their Savior.
I Corinthians 1:2; Ephesians 5:23-24,30
We believe in the personal, visible, imminent return of Jesus Christ.
Acts 1:9-11; Revelation 1:5,7
We believe in water baptism and the celebration of the Lord's Supper.
Matthew 3:13; I Corinthians 11:23-26
our core values
WE LOVE GOD & WE LOVE PEOPLE
Love must be first vertical then horizontal. Matthew 22:37- 39
WE ARE AUTHENTIC
We operate without pretense or any need to impress. We are accountable to one another out of genuine relationship. We exhibit no man-made hierarchies of importance or undue emphasis on titles; but each individual serving the vision God has apportioned to our church family. James 5:16 MSG
WE ARE DEPENDENT
We totally depend on the power of God. We refuse to rely upon man-made tricks, schemes, or gimmicks. We are creative in our approach to all things and willing to think outside the box. In all things, we acknowledge that God’s power alone can transform a life. Therefore, we rely solely on the power of prayer, the leading of the Spirit, the gifts of the Spirit, and the anointing of God. We stand in faith for healing, provision, and protection that comes only from the power of Christ. I Corinthians 2:2-5 NKJV
WE ARE EXCELLENT
We are committed to excellence in all things. Thereby, requiring a fierce commitment to planning, effective communication, best-effort execution, continuous evaluation of all aspects of ministry, and a commitment to always get better. Daniel 6:3 NKJV
WE ARE GENEROUS
We are a culture that thinks “others” instead of “us.” We have an environment that does not brow beat, manipulate, or give undue pressure for money. Rather, we teach and expect those in covenant with us to give according to the biblical mandate of tithes, offering, and alms. Overall we practice generosity with our time, talent, and treasure. I Timothy 6:18, 19 NKJV
WE ARE GRATEFUL
We have an environment that chooses to see the best in our circumstances and in others. We choose to give thanks to God for all that He has done, rather than mourn the things we do not have. We practice gratitude toward God and one another, continually acknowledging how blessed we are to have God and our family of friends. I Thessalonians 5:18 NKJV
WE ARE JOYFUL
Joyfulness is an attitude that choses to be infectiously positive and to see the best in every situation. James 1:2-5 NKJV
WE ARE RELEVANT
We purpose to remain true to the pure message of Christ, but extremely flexible in our methods to deliver that message to a rapidly changing culture. We resist the temptation to fall in love with “our way.” We know that our God is the great I AM. He is always ready to use us to meet the needs of the present generation with His eternal message. I Corinthians 9:19-23 NKJV
WE ARE ONE TEAM
We are one in name, aim, vision, and purpose. 1 Corinthians 12:14-31 MSG
